Meliá Hotels International: Always Cuba

The Meliá Hotels International chain, one of the most prestigious in the world, praised Cuba during its presentation as a destination with its own unique identity, “renowned for its cultural richness, its natural environment, and above all for the way it welcomes its visitors.”

Regarding tourism, it reaffirmed that “Melia Cuba maintains its operations with full capacity to adapt to each circumstance.”

The company offers comprehensive accommodation experiences for travelers, with hotels available in key destinations on the island, including the Meliá Habana, Trip Habana Libre, Innside Habana Catedral, and Sevilla Habana Afiliated by Meliá in Havana.

In Varadero, the brand is generating customer interest, especially with the Paradisus Varadero, the Meliá Internacional Varadero, Meliá Las Américas, Meliá Varadero, and Sol Caribe hotels.

In other regions of the island, the Paradisus Los Cayos in Cayo Santa María and the Meliá San Carlos in Cienfuegos, The Meliá Trinidad Península in Sancti Spíritus, and the Meliá Santiago de Cuba in that province in eastern Cuba are particularly appealing.

“We maintain the highest standards in all our hotels, always focused on customer satisfaction and supported by the professionalism of our teams,” the chain added.

During a tour showcasing the evolution of its facilities and the initiatives developed to improve the customer experience, Meliá noted that it is taking advantage of the opportunity to carry out renovation and product updates in its hotels, as well as in those where its services are temporarily consolidated.

In Varadero, Meliá is progressing with the renovation of various spaces at the Sol Palmeras and the Meliá Varadero, Paradisus Varadero, and Paradisus Princesa del Mar hotels. Meliá Las Antillas will begin by renovating its rooms, reinforcing its adults-only offering; Meliá Península Varadero will update key areas such as the lobby, lobby bar, buffet, themed restaurants, the ranchón, and the standard rooms; while at the Meliá Internacional Varadero, work will continue on constantly updating its facilities with the aim of remaining one of the leading and preferred hotels in the destination.

In Cayo Santa María, Meliá Las Dunas will begin renovations to its rooms, cigar bar, and reception areas, allowing for the introduction of a new Level concept. Meanwhile, in Cayo Coco Coco, the Meliá Cayo Coco is undergoing modernization.

Improvements are also underway at the Meliá Habana, Meliá Habana, and Sevilla Habana Affiliated by Meliá properties in Havana.

Regarding new openings, the company announced an expansion of its presence in the country with the Sol Hicacos Varadero, a 268-room resort focused on family-oriented services.

Weddings and honeymoons remain a highly valued offering for the brand on the island, where each hotel in this segment has dedicated wedding coordinators and boasts particularly attractive settings for these celebrations.

Golf allows guests to complement their stay with sporting experiences in natural surroundings, with options available for both adults and families. Wellness continues to gain prominence, especially at Paradisus, where well-being is seamlessly integrated into the experience.

Furthermore, among the new features, the chain has incorporated the Pet Friendly by Meliá Cuba program. Almudena Rosado, director of the Meliá Las Américas, and Freddy Andersen, director of the Meliá Habana, explained during the broadcast that, “Pet Friendly represents a step forward in terms of customer satisfaction.”

“The important thing is that everything is simple, that the guest arrives with their pet, enjoys themselves, and doesn’t have to worry about anything else,” they commented on the initiative that reflects their commitment to adapting to new ways of traveling, while always maintaining a focus on service quality.
