Cubasol events catalog promotes MICE tourism in Cuba

The Cubasol Business Group’s Events Catalog, comprised of leading companies with extensive experience in the tourism sector (Palmares, Transtur, Caracol, Marlin, Turarte, and Cuba Golf), was unveiled today during FITCUBA 2026 by Liubersy Pérez Guillén, president of the Group and Master in Tourism Management.

During the virtual presentation, Pérez Guillén explained that the catalog currently includes nine events in the tourist destinations of Havana, Varadero and Jardines del Rey.

Through the integration of its companies, Cubasol provides numerous amenities for tourism, especially in the Varadero resort area, where it owns the Plaza América Convention Center, the most important outside the capital. There, the paradisiacal ocean views are combined with comfortable spaces, adaptable to different formats and offering a variety of complementary services to suit individual needs.

Cubasol’s extensive experience in event organization allows the group to complement meeting spaces with other activities, gifts for attendees, a variety of musical and dance performances, ground transportation (panoramic buses, minibuses, cars, tourist trains and buses), among other options, including international and Cuban cuisine.

The presentation of the catalog for Habanos aficionados opened with “The Legacy of Cueto,” an event organized by Tiendas Caracol S.A. at the Morro-Cabaña Historical Military Complex. The program includes master classes on cigar rolling and offers the opportunity to meet the renowned cigar roller José Castelar, known as “Cueto,” who holds five Guinness World Records for the longest cigar in the world.

Also included is the Ernest Hemingway International Billfish Tournament at Marina Hemingway, one of the most important events in Cuban sport fishing and considered one of the oldest in the world, since its founding in 1950.

Also attracting great interest is the Varadero Gourmet gastronomic event, held at the Plaza América Convention Center, which each year features a different theme highlighting the most outstanding aspects of Cuban culinary culture. It is characterized by its cocktail and culinary competitions, showcasing the talent and creativity of the contestants, as well as master classes, exhibitions, tastings and product presentations, along with a variety of entertainment activities.

Experience and Traditions, another high-impact event, takes place in one of Cuba’s most beautiful destinations: Jardines del Rey. It is held at the Casa de Habanos El Exquisito. Themes focus on tobacco, rum and coffee, along with national history, culture and tradition.

Also included in this catalog is the Cuba Golf tournament, held at the Varadero Golf Club, an 18-hole course where golf enthusiasts gather for competitive rounds and other related activities. Big Game Trolling is another sporting event that attracts visitors from around the world. It takes place in Jardines del Rey, specifically in the rich fishing area located in the Old Bahamas Channel, where a significant variety of species abound. The method used is catch, tag and release trolling.

The international underwater photography event FOTOSUB changes location each year so that underwater photography enthusiasts can discover the potential of Cuba’s seabed. There are four categories: macro, environment, macro with model, and fauna, in which the most representative photographs of the underwater environment in harmony are awarded.

Also featured in the catalog is Amigos de Partagás, a highly recognized event in the world of Habanos cigars, with more than 30 editions. At this event, the pleasure of smoking is accompanied by gala dinners, picnics, beach outings, and the well-known and eagerly awaited humidor auction.
