Cuba to the rhythm of music: August–December 2026

An engaging cultural calendar running between May and December 2026 offers a tempting array of experiences for those wishing to take home memories of the infectious tumbao rhythm, the applause in a theater, or the hushed silence of a great film.

This summer, for instance, culminates with the Varadero Josone Festival: Rumba, Jazz & Son (August 25–31), an event where the three genres come together under the stars. During this time, Josone Park—a romantic green oasis in the heart of the country’s premier beach resort—transforms into the Caribbean’s most important dance floor.

Led by musician Isaac Delgado, the fifth edition of the festival will bring together Cuban music legends and contemporary artists, alongside international stars who continue to find an audience that loves enjoying music just steps away from the sea.

October and November bring two standout events: the Alicia Alonso Havana International Ballet Festival (October 28–November 10) and the Baila en Cuba Festival (November 16–21), which turns the capital into a temple of popular dance.
