The Cuba-Canada Golf Tournament began this Saturday at the Varadero Golf Club, according to Gihana Galindo Enriquez, director of the Cuban Tourism Bureau in Toronto.

The event celebrates the friendship and strong ties between the two countries, which span more than 80 years. Canada has been recognized as the leading source market for tourists to Cuba since 1985.

The positive relationship between the two nations, as well as the flow of tourism, has been fostered by the safety, exceptional climate, and the friendliness of the Cuban people toward Canadian visitors.

As for golf, this sport stands out for its ability to strengthen bonds, and the Varadero Golf Club is renowned for its unique design and natural beauty, making it an ideal setting for this activity.

Its tee boxes are suitable for all levels of players (professionals and amateurs); and it features the following grass varieties: Green: Paspalum, Tee: Bermuda 328; and Fairway: Bermuda 41. As a bonus, it combines three golf course architecture styles: Classic Design, Challenging Design, and Links Design.
