However, when choosing this destination, many travelers may wonder about the entry requirements to the country, known for its long history in the tourism industry and some of the most beautiful natural environments in the region.
Entry requirements for Cuba
Valid passport
Travelers must have a valid passport from their country of citizenship. Passports must be valid for the entire duration of the trip.
Re-entry to Canada
Non-Canadian citizens must ensure they can re-enter Canada (PR card, work or study permit, or a valid multiple-entry visa).
Medical insurance
Proof of medical insurance is required.
Electronic Visa
Included in the ticket price for passengers on direct flights from Canada.
Paper tourist cards have been discontinued; Cuba now uses an electronic visa system.
Travelers must complete the online form at www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu within one week of arrival, obtain the QR code, and present it upon entry.
No additional fees or separate processes are required; simply complete the form and bring the QR code.
Traveling through third countries
Passengers connecting through countries other than Canada must obtain the electronic visa separately at evisacuba.cu.
