Travel tips

Prepare for rain:

Pack an umbrella or a raincoat and rain gear. It will help you plan cultural activities and urban tours for the mornings, and be prepared for rain in the afternoons.

Dress for the heat:

Wear lightweight, breathable cotton or linen clothing. Comfortable, water-resistant shoes will be helpful.

Protect yourself from the sun:

The tropical sun can be intense. Don’t forget to bring sunglasses, a hat or cap, and sunscreen.

Stay informed:

Since the coming week continues to be part of the hurricane season (which runs from June to November), it’s a good idea to monitor weather forecasts for tropical development.
