Cuba seeks to increase the number of tourists it welcomes from Brazil, which is why representatives of the agencies that make up the Viajes Cuba Business Group are presenting the attractions of the Caribbean destination in the cities of Salvador de Bahía, Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
The Group’s social media accounts feature the exchanges and specialized presentations from Havanatur, Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan and Ecotur. During the tour, business roundtables and meetings with local tour operators, travel agents and the media have also taken place.
This campaign focuses on highlighting Cuba’s cultural diversity, historical heritage, natural beauty and safety for Brazilian travelers.
“Brazil represents a strategic market for Cuba due to its cultural affinities and growing interest in authentic and sustainable experiences. This initiative allows us to strengthen our presence, expand connections, and facilitate tailor-made tourism products for the Brazilian public,” said Yusimy Pérez, Viajes Cuba director of Development.
Over the past four years, the number of Brazilian tourists arriving in the archipelago has increased. In 2024, the number exceeded 17,700 visitors, according to data published by the National Office of Statistics and Information (ONEI).
The events featured exclusive promotional materials and special offers on tour packages. New air routes and benefits for travelers choosing Cuba as their next destination were also announced.
With this initiative, Viajes Cuba and its agencies seek to increase the flow of tourists from Brazil and promote cultural exchange and bilateral economic development.
