This summer, the best music from Cuba and the Caribbean will once again resonate on the island’s most famous beach. The Varadero Josone Festival: Rumba, Jazz & Son celebrates its fifth edition from August 25-31, presided by maestro Issac Delgado and organized by the National Center for Popular Music.
Since 2018, Josone has united talent, tradition and the beach in a single destination. Five editions later, it has established itself as one of Cuba’s most important cultural festivals, thanks to its artistic quality, vibrant atmosphere, and its ability to bring together generations to the rhythm of son, rumba, timba, jazz, and much more.
For a full week, Josone Park in Varadero will be the epicenter of an intense and diverse program. Live concerts, DJ sets, unexpected fusions, and an audience ready to dance until dawn, in a natural and magical setting.
Among the national artists already confirmed for this edition are: Alain Pérez and La Orquesta, Alexander Abreu and Havana D’Primera, Cándido Fabré and his band, David Blanco, El Dray, El Hijo de Teresa and La llegada, Formell and Los Van Van, Garo, Haila, Issac Delgado and his Orquesta, JG, Maykel Blanco and his Salsa Mayor, Mamá Estoy Brillando, Moncada, Muñequitos de Matanzas, Roberto Fonseca and La Gran Diversión, Rodrigo Sosa “La Quenística”, Rumbatá, Wampi, Yomil, and Velito El Bufón.
On the international front, Josone’s lineup includes the Manyoma Brothers, a group composed of the second generation of the Manyoma family, pioneers in the development of the salsa movement in Colombia and winners of the 2023 Cubadisco International Award, as well as renowned DJ Miss Timba, also from Colombia.
