The San Cristóbal Travel Agency celebrated its 30th anniversary, founded under the inspiration and guidance of Havana City Historian, Dr. Eusebio Leal Spengler.
Employees, collaborators, and strategic partners met at the Cabaret Parisien in the Hotel Nacional de Cuba to share the work carried out over three decades in service to tourism and cultural preservation.
The Agency’s Director, Antonio Guerrero, paid tribute to those who have shaped San Cristóbal since its creation in 1995. He emotionally recalled the origins of the organization and the legacy of Leal, whom he described as “the undisputed guide and creator of the project.” Guerrero declared: “We continue this story with great enthusiasm, deep roots, and a profound sense of affection and duty toward Eusebio Leal. That is the essence of San Cristóbal.”
The director expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support of the Havana City Historian’s Office, the driving force behind keeping “our adventure” alive. He also extended special recognition to the founders, staff, and strategic partners—hotel chains, tour operators, and destination management companies—who have sustained San Cristóbal’s work during crucial moments.
Guerrero addressed the agency’s renewal, the role of young people, and the commitment to moving forward over the next 30 years, emphasizing a call to “not give up and to ensure our tourism progresses.”
At the start of the evening, Magda Resik, director of Communications for the Office of the City Historian, evoked Leal’s passion for showcasing Cuba’s cultural richness to the world.
“The travel agency is the emblem of Leal’s enduring passion for guiding others, for showing them the beauty, charm and cultural wealth of Cuba. If there is one beautiful aspect to San Cristóbal’s work, it is that it also sustains the dream behind this project,” she emphasized.

With its main headquarters in Old Havana, San Cristóbal specializes in historical and heritage tourism, working closely with the Office of the City Historian. Its presence extends to other areas of the capital, such as the Miramar Business Center, and to the provinces of Villa Clara and Camagüey.
Among its offers are guided tours of the National Capitol Building, the Casa Leal Route, and Martí’s Havana, as well as accessible tourism programs for people with specific mobility, vision, hearing, or cognitive needs, under the “Camino Leal” and “La Cuna de la Ciudad” initiatives.
In addition, the agency offers themed tours such as the Colonial Tour, Sacred Heritage and Popular Religiosity, Art and Color, Heritage Restoration and Social Work, the Antemural and Key to the New World, and the Complete City Tour, among others.
