Rutaca Airlines connects Venezuela and Cuba

The flight route is the result of negotiations between the Alba Tours Agency and the Havanatur Group, with the aim of bringing the two destinations closer together.

Venezuelan Rutaca Airlines resumes operations to Cuba. This time connecting Valencia, in the state of Carabobo, with Havana.


Yoelkis Salazar Rivery, director general of the International Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies Havanatur SA, along with other executives, welcomed passengers and crew members of aircraft 5R-2232, which arrived at José Martí International Airport this Friday morning.


A large group of travel agents and press arrived in Cuba to learn about tourist products and destinations that will be marketed as part of the options Venezuelan travelers can enjoy in the Caribbean archipelago.


According to statements from airline executives, the flights will include two weekly frequencies, on Mondays and Fridays. The aircraft will take off from the city of Valencia in the state of Carabobo, Venezuela, on a direct flight to Havana, lasting approximately three and a half hours.


This flight route is the result of negotiations between the Alba Tours Agency and the Havanatur Group, with the aim of bringing the two destinations closer together.


The tour packages will allow visitors to explore Havana, Viñales and Varadero for short stays, and will also offer other options in programs for longer stays on the island.
