The president of the Ibero-American Institute of Rural Tourism (Iberoatur), Humberto López-Tirone, issued an invitation to participate in an extraordinary experience during the 10th Ibero-American Rural Tourism Meeting, which will take place from September 29 to October 5, 2025, in western Cuba.
In the message, published on the social media profiles of the Ecotur travel agency, López-Tirone adds that this important event for agritourism and nature tourism is being promoted with great force.
“We will have many examples, not only of teaching, but of experiences,” he specifies.
On its digital platforms, Iberoatur emphasizes that Cuba will become the epicenter of agritourism and this type of travel.
“This event brings together keynote speakers from the sector to share knowledge and experiences, and create collaboration that drives sustainable development in our rural communities.
“The event’s academic program will include keynote lectures with experts in the field who will share their views and best practices, as well as panels to analyze trends, challenges and opportunities in the sector.
Participants will also be able to explore agritourism, historical, cultural and nature trails in four provinces of western Cuba to interact with the archipelago’s biodiversity.
Presentations on innovative and successful agritourism initiatives are also planned, as well as networking opportunities, providing an opportunity to connect with industry players, entrepreneurs, researchers, organizations and public, private, and community-based entities to establish and strengthen strategic alliances.
The registration platform is now open and can be accessed through the following QR code.

The Agrarian University of Havana and the National Botanical Garden will host the main activities of the event, which was officially presented at the FITUR 2025 International Press Center by Iberoatur Secretary General Juan José Salado Sánchez and Raúl Naranjo, director of the Ecotur travel agency.
The organization decided to award Cuba the hosting rights due to its extensive experience in this tourism sector, which has made it a benchmark for the region, the Iberoatur representative stated at the time.
