The Havanatur S.A. Group of Tour Operators and Travel Agencies is consolidating its position as a leader in the organization of professional events in Cuba and announced the addition of its own project to its 2026 catalog. At the presentation held at the Muthu Habana Tower hotel, Yoelkis Salazar Rivery, the company’s director general, highlighted Cuba’s potential to promote the events sector and the intention to continue developing this sector with a social focus.

The new initiative, called Fiesta de Colores (Festival of Colors), is an event designed especially for the LGBTQ+ community, although its organizers emphasize that it is open to everyone without distinction, with the aim of offering an authentic and diverse experience in Cuba.

According to Orizel Chacón Hernández, deputy commercial director of the Havana Branch, the festival seeks to celebrate diversity and showcase Cuba as an inclusive and safe destination. “Through this festival, we intend to break down barriers and build bridges of respect and acceptance, because we firmly believe that inclusion is not just an ideal, but a commitment,” she stated. The program will take place during Diversity Week, beginning on May 14 with the official welcome in Havana. The following day will include an exchange with specialists from CENESEX (National Center for Sex Education) and an evening of artistic performances at the renowned Cabaret Parisien in the Hotel Nacional de Cuba.

On May 16, attendees will travel to Matanzas to learn about the Failde project and stay at the Resonance Musique Varadero hotel, where they will enjoy an interactive evening with music, show cooking, karaoke and other surprises.

The program for May 17 includes a catamaran excursion to Cayo Blanco, a natural setting ideal for snorkeling and water sports. That evening, the El Divino project will provide entertainment, followed by a foam party in the pool.

The event will conclude on May 18 with the planting of a tree as a symbol of resilience and renewal, followed by a farewell party and invitations to future gatherings.

The organization and promotion of Fiesta de Colores is supported by the Blue Diamond Resorts hotel chain and the Be Proud Travel agency.

During the presentation of Havanatur’s 2026 Events Catalog, executives announced that the company will manage approximately 30 national and international events as a destination management company. Among the most outstanding events are the International University Congress, the Habanos Festival, the International Informatics Convention and Fair, Biohabana, the Gran Retto Open Water Tournament, the International Scrabble Championship and the Friends of Partagás Meeting.
