Domina Marina Varadero: A unique hotel

Varadero has a new hotel in operation this season: the Domina Marina Varadero. The five-star all-inclusive resort welcomed its first guests this December.

This new addition is the result of an agreement signed in September by the president of the Italian Domina Hotels Group in Cuba to begin managing properties in the destination.

With more than 400 rooms overlooking Marina Gaviota and the Hicacos Peninsula, the resort is an ideal spot for sea and boating enthusiasts. Its design takes advantage of its privileged location within an ecological reserve, just 300 meters from one of the most famous beaches in the Caribbean.

For guests’ enjoyment, it offers four swimming pools, direct access to a spa, gym, tennis court, kids’ club, and a state-of-the-art convention center with eight meeting rooms. A wedding gazebo promises to celebrate unions with the seascape as a backdrop.

What sets this project apart is its fusion of a beach resort concept and a top-tier marina complex. With capacity for approximately 1,200 vessels, 13 pontoons, and a beautiful commercial waterfront, it’s a top choice for boaters, divers and anglers. The alliance between the Gaviota Tourism Group and Domina seeks to diversify operations and recapture the Italian market, historically among the main sources of tourism to Cuba. Italian tourists are highly valued: they are culturally minded, inquisitive travelers who enjoy the beaches but also explore the interior of the country, visiting heritage destinations such as Viñales and Trinidad.
