Varadero is currently hosting the National Innovation Forum “Growing Together 2025,” organized by the Cubasol Business Group. The opening day featured the conference, “Varadero Digital City,” presented by Diego Castilla Cabrera.

The event brings together young people from across the country connected to Cubasol, an organization that integrates non-hotel and real estate service companies within the national tourism system. In just 10 years since its creation, Cubasol has come to employ more than 20,000 workers in nearly 2,000 facilities.

A significant portion of its workforce—more than 2,000 young people under 35—represents the next generation that the organization seeks to foster through innovation and training programs.

“Growing Together 2025” is envisioned as a platform for knowledge exchange and the identification of projects focused on modernization, efficiency, digitalization and sustainability within the tourism sector.

During the first day, activities were organized into three committees—Business Management, Leadership, and Poster—where more than 30 presentations were made, showcasing innovative proposals and applicable experiences.

As part of the preparation, workshops were held at the various companies within the group, resulting in 247 proposals, 102 of which were selected for presentation and discussion during the forum.

The event, held at the Plaza América Convention Center, also includes the participation of government representatives from Matanzas, officials from the Ministry of Tourism, and students from the University of Havana’s Faculty of Tourism.
