Cayo Largo del Sur recently welcomed another flight from Argentina. The arrival underscores its position as one of the most sought-after destinations for travelers from that country in the Caribbean.
The Cayo Largo del Sur Travel social media profile shared the good news: “We continue flying high! Yesterday, we proudly welcomed another flight from Argentina, reaffirming our commitment to maintaining connectivity and providing a safe and reliable service to all our passengers.”
This destination is distinguished by its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a paradisiacal atmosphere that combines nature, tranquility and Cuban hospitality. Located in the Canarreos Archipelago, the key boasts well-developed tourism infrastructure that includes resorts and quality services, designed to satisfy families, couples and travelers seeking excellence in all-inclusive services, with diverse options for entertainment, dining and water activities.
Flight connections with Argentina have been a key factor in the growth of tourists visiting this region of southern Cuba. After several years without direct flights, the resumption of charter flights from Buenos Aires (Ezeiza) to Cayo Largo del Sur in early 2025 generated strong demand and near-full occupancy for the first months of the season, demonstrating the interest of Argentinean tourists in enjoying the Caribbean in a safe and exclusive environment.

In 2025, Argentina was one of the markets that saw growth in visitor arrivals to Cuba, with more than 49,000 travelers.
The weekly operation of direct flights, facilitated by airlines such as Andes Líneas Aéreas in collaboration with agencies and tour operators, has boosted arrivals from cities like Buenos Aires and Córdoba, making it easier for travelers from different regions of the country to access the destination.
The addition of this new flight strengthens Cayo Largo del Sur’s presence on the Latin American tourism map and reflects the confidence of tour operators and travelers in the destination’s offerings. Local authorities and service providers remain focused on ensuring a pleasant stay that meets the expectations of the Argentinean market and contributes to positioning Cuba as a competitive destination in the Caribbean.
