Cuba is attending the 2025 International Business Roundtable in Caracas to showcase the potential of its tourism destinations and their competitiveness in the region, attract new business opportunities, and strengthen alliances that prioritize multi-destination products.
This was reported by Oscar Henríquez Díaz, executive of the General Marketing Directorate of the Cuban Ministry of Tourism, from the Venezuelan capital.
“We kicked off the presentation sessions with four keynote addresses: Cuba, a Unique Destination; The Caribbean and Latin America: An Inexhaustible Source for Multi-Destination Development; Tourism Business Opportunities in Cuba; and Applications of Artificial Intelligence for Tourism Development,” he reported.
The event, held at the Poliedro de Caracas, seeks to encourage foreign investment and boost tourism development in Venezuela.
“Extensive negotiation sessions have taken place through which previously designed products have been consolidated, new development potential has been identified, and strategies have been drawn up to increase visitor flow to our region,” emphasized Henríquez Díaz.

During the exchange sessions, Colombia, Cuba, Curaçao, Mexico, and Venezuela reiterated their commitment to promoting the development of multi-destination tourism as they are intensifying their efforts to boost this travel modality.
“Cuba has a presentation stand widely visited by representatives of international delegations, which demonstrates the interest in Cuban tourism products,” the executive noted.
The Cuban delegation is made up of 15 representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, travel agencies, and civil aviation.
Attendees also include tour operators, travel agencies, business leaders, and investors from Germany, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Brazil, China, Colombia, Curaçao, Iraq, Iran, Mexico, Russia, Turkey, Uruguay, and Vietnam, who are exploring business and cooperation opportunities.
The 2025 International Business Roundtable is part of the Seven Transformations Plan (7T), promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, which recognizes tourism as the “first engine” of the Venezuelan economy.
With this initiative, the South American country demonstrates its commitment to consolidating strategic alliances between the public and private sectors, using tourism as a tool for sustainable development and international promotion.
