Experiencia y Tradiciones, an international event focused on promoting Cuba’s most typical products, will hold its third edition at the Casa del Habano “El Exquisito” at the Hotel Meliá Costa Rey, in Cayo Coco, from October 22 to 24.
The program includes pairings, tastings, competitions, and excursions, combining sensations and flavors.
In addition, best practices and experiences from the world of rum, coffee, and tobacco, three of the island’s most distinctive products, will be shared. “Experience traditions, taste cuisine, and explore history,” is the proposal, according to the invitation to this event organized by the Cubanacan Travel Agency and convened by the Casa del Habano El Exquisito, a branch of the Caracol Commercial Company, as well as the Ministry of Tourism in Ciego de Ávila.
El Exquisito, affiliated with the Caracol Commercial Branch in the province, operates under the Habanos S.A. franchise, with more than 150 stores around the world. Its excellent service will allow event participants to offer the widest range of Habanos brands and vitolas, preserved in perfect temperature and humidity conditions in a climate-controlled walk-in humidor.
Those attending will also discover specialized advice on purchasing cigars, and both the most demanding consumers and amateurs will be able to enjoy an immersive experience in the culture surrounding this product. El Exquisito has personalized spaces where cigars can be stored, under the strictest quality and conservation controls.
The event will be an opportunity to learn, discover, consume, and enjoy the delights of three typical Cuban products, Alfredo Taboada, Caracol’s director in the country, told Prensa Latina.
As part of the planned activities, he indicated that the company hopes to increase the sale of Cuban products in high demand among tourists. Activities will be held in outdoor areas to connect with nature, such as a visit to the municipality of Florencia to explore the tobacco fields. There will also be spaces for exchanges, auctions, presentations by groups of growers who perform traditional music and dance, and pairings of rum, tobacco, and coffee that combine aromas and flavors, the agency notes.
