During a meeting with tour operators, travel agents, and specialized press representatives, Cuban tourism authorities announced the upcoming October 23rd opening of the Hotel Playa Luxury Varadero.
Located at the country’s premier beach resort destination, the property will offer 85 high-end, adults-only rooms. A unique feature of the hotel is its location at the tip of the peninsula—in a slightly secluded area known as Cayo Libertad—which provides a distinctive and charming setting.
The “Luxury” brand designation distinguishes renovated spaces designed for travelers seeking upscale vacation experiences at Cuba’s top sun-and-beach destinations. The offering combines comfort, personalized service, privacy, and exceptional natural surroundings with a signature touch of hospitality.
The meeting, held at the Hotel Paseo del Prado in the capital and attended virtually by over seventy participants, also previewed a special edition of the “Cayotonazo” event, scheduled to take place in Varadero from December 31 to January 3.
More than three thousand rooms remain operational across tourism hubs in the western and central regions of the island, including Havana, Varadero, Topes de Collantes, and Santa María.
Standout properties in the capital include the Packard and Paseo del Prado hotels, both offering five-star service and prime locations with views of the Malecón and the bay entrance.
Meanwhile, the Oasis, Family Varadero, Playa Vista Azul, and Caribe Beach hotels in Varadero are currently open for business.
