Get ready for a unique and unforgettable experience! That is how Havanatur invites you to attend the Fiesta de Colores (Festival of Colors), an event “dedicated with affection and pride to the LGBTQ+ community,” taking place from October 15 to 21.

Organizers promise an experience defined by diversity, inclusion, and spectacular celebrations within a setting that embraces authenticity and respect.

According to the schedule, Havanatur will begin welcoming participants to this inaugural event on October 15 at the VIP lounge of José Martí International Airport. Accommodation in Havana is arranged at the centrally located Hotel Capri in the Vedado district.

That same evening, the La Familia Habana restaurant will host a dinner promising to be a special occasion, designed to blend elegance with the magic of being right by the Caribbean Sea.

The following morning, participants will meet with specialists from the National Center for Sex Education (CENESEX)—an institution dedicated to education, research, and care—whose mission focuses on comprehensive sex education, the promotion of human rights, and the struggle against all forms of violence.

In the afternoon, guests will take a panoramic city tour in classic cars, traveling between Old Havana and the modern part of the city. To wrap up the day, the iconic Hotel Nacional de Cuba will host a dinner at La Barraca restaurant and a show at the Cabaret Parisien, famous for gracing Havana’s bohemian nights since 1930.

For Saturday the 17th, the program includes a trip to Varadero with a brief stop in the city of Matanzas—known as the “Athens of Cuba”—to visit the “Callejón de las Tradiciones” (Alley of Traditions), a space designed to foster inclusion through cultural diversity.

There, visitors will tour the walkway featuring murals and monumental sculptures before experiencing the musical traditions of Cuba and Matanzas—ranging from live performances of danzón (the national dance) to the dance expressions of Afro-Cuban religions, which are deeply rooted in this part of the island. They will also have the opportunity to join in, learn, and truly feel the spirit of Cuba and its people by interacting with local artisans, admiring drag artist performances, and enjoying a grand “rumba for diversity” celebration.

After a free afternoon at the Hotel Cuatro Palmas, the evening will feature a buffet dinner and a welcome party on-site, complete with live music, show cooking, karaoke, and other surprises.

Sunday’s plans include a nautical excursion—a regatta along the southern coast of the Hicacos Peninsula—featuring a beach party and a seafood lunch.

The Fiesta de Colores Show will begin at 8:00 pm on the 18th. Billed as a unique spectacle, it includes a show by the “El Divino” project—created by and for the LGBTQ+ community—which will also incorporate initiatives from the participants themselves. The night will conclude with a foam party in the pool area.

Monday the 19th will begin with a tree-planting ceremony, an act symbolizing resilience and renewal. Afterward, the gathering will close with a party featuring sets by national and international DJs, as well as live music. The organizers report that check-out is scheduled for Tuesday the 6th; however, those interested may purchase optional activities to extend their visit by a few hours or days during their stay in Havana.

The organizers have also planned a range of activities available for purchase in CUP for Cuban nationals who do not wish to buy the full event package but prefer to enjoy specific scheduled experiences, such as the “Noche Blanca” or “Habana Fiesta.”

For those wishing to enjoy the activities in Varadero, an accommodation package at the Hotel Cuatro Palmas is available. This includes assistance from the Havanatur travel agency, a nautical excursion, the Fiesta de Colores Show, and transfers between Havana and Varadero.
