If you are planning to travel to Cuba from Canada via a third country, here are the steps to follow to avoid problems:
1. Apply for your electronic tourist visa (eVisa)
• Visit the official website: https://evisacuba.cu/
• Complete the electronic tourist visa (eVisa) application.
• Submit your application at least 72 hours before your travel date.
• Once approved, you will receive your eVisa code by email.
2. Complete the D’Viajeros Form
• After receiving your eVisa code, visit https://dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu
• Fill out the form with your personal, immigration, health and customs information.
• Save the QR code generated at the end of the process.
Direct flights from Canada were suspended last week, but Cuban tourist destinations are maintaining operations.
For months, the sector has been preparing to face any contingency, such as the recent fuel crisis due to the measures imposed by the US government under Donald Trump, which are attempting to prevent fuel imports into the country.
