Cuba’s strategy to diversify its tourism offers with the launch of new and innovative products designed to enhance the visitor experience both inside and outside hotels has been highlighted by specialized media outlets such as Profession Voyages, part of the Travelweek group, which has over 50 years of experience in tourism industry communication.
Profession Voyages‘ primary audience is travel advisors and tourism professionals in Canada, with the publication offering news, trends, and working tools for this sector. It also provides digital advertising solutions, email marketing, online training, and distribution of documents and brochures through ENVOY Networks.
“Canada has always been a loyal and essential market for Cuba,” stated Juan Carlos García Granda, Cuba’s tourism minister, in remarks also highlighted by the specialized publication Travel Pulse. “We continue to welcome Canadian visitors with the same warmth, safety, and quality of service they know and trust. The sustained growth in air capacity and demand clearly shows that Canadians feel confident traveling to Cuba and continue to choose our island for their holidays. I very much want to thank them for their tremendous support.”
Among the island’s new offers is the “Santa María All In” concept, which expands the experience to the entire Santa María area with a no-extra-cost package. This allows guests complimentary access to entertainment, restaurants, and activities in the three resorts: Gallery, Las Dunas, and The One Collection. This includes restaurants, bars, boat services, and other options that ensure seamless mobility between the hotels and the resorts.
There is also the “Splash Santa Maria Water Park,” the only water park of its kind in Cuba, which officially opened on January 3 in the Santa Maria Arena area. Designed for all ages, it adds a new family-friendly option to the destination.
The Snowbird Villas in Playas del Este are another addition designed to encourage extended stays, with fully equipped villas on a beach located just 30 minutes from Havana.
Canada remains a key market for tourism, and Cuba ranks sixth among international travel options for Canadians. More than 300,000 airline seats are scheduled between Canada and Cuba for the first quarter of 2026, according to international press reports.
