Since July 1, Cuba has been using an electronic visa system for entry into the country.
Travelers can apply for an electronic visa on the website https://evisacuba.cu at least 72 hours before their entry date. The visa allows a single entry for a maximum stay of 90 days, which can be extended for the same period.
The electronic visa will be linked to a valid passport for the duration of the stay in Cuba.
An email address is required to receive the visa code.
Physical tourist cards will no longer be issued, but will remain valid for those travelers who already have one until December 31, 2025.
Before traveling, the mandatory D’Viajeros form, available at www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu, must also be completed.
Authorities recommend contacting Cuban consular offices if traveling by sea.
The Evisa digital platform offers users a more efficient and speedy service. It is available from any internet-connected device.
Security is guaranteed throughout the entire electronic tourist visa process, from application to issuance and border control. With Evisa, Cuba is moving toward implementing a more modern consular system adapted to current needs.
