More than one hundred businesspeople, entrepreneurs, distributors, retailers and specialists from around the world are gathering in Cuba from November 17 to 20 to attend the Friends and Clients of Casa Partagás Meeting.

Organized by Casa del Habano Partagás to celebrate the anniversary of this Cuban cigar brand, participants are arriving from various countries to experience the richness of Cuba’s cigar-smoking tradition.

The Casa de La Amistad, in Havana, is the venue for the event, as part of which attendees will enjoy specialized tastings of high-end Habanos and rums, along with artistic performances that will complement an experience celebrating Partagás’ 180th anniversary.

The program includes a day at the beach and the Marina Marlin Tarará, where participants will enjoy seafood and water sports. They will also tour the La Pinta estate, where a smoking competition will be held.

The iconic Tropicana cabaret will host the closing ceremony.

The Royal Partagás Twisted Tobacco Factory, renowned for its artisanal cigar production, was inaugurated in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagás, a Catalan who acquired land in the western regions of Cuba, specifically in Vuelta Abajo and Semi Vuelta.

Initially, the factory was located at 520 Industria Street, just behind the Capitol building in Havana. Its current location is at 806 San Carlos Street.

Don Jaime Partagás, born in Barcelona on December 7, 1816, emigrated to Cuba in 1840, where he quickly became involved in the tobacco industry. His legacy endures in several locations in Pinar del Río, particularly in the municipality of Consolación del Sur.
