Tourism operations in Holguín fully restarted today, as announced by Gihana Galindo Enriquez, Cuba’s tourism counsellor in Canada, on her social media profile.
Meanwhile, the Frank País International Airport in that province posted images of the arrival of Canadian travelers aboard an Air Transat aircraft.
This is the first flight carrying Canadian vacationers to arrive this high season in the region since Hurricane Melissa struck on October 29.
In recent days, tourism facilities and other sector entities have posted on social media about all the efforts made to prepare this destination, which is among those that receive the most international travelers each year. Among the preferences of the Canadian market are stays at all-inclusive resorts near the Guardalavaca, Esmeralda and Pesquero beaches, perfect for swimming, diving or simply enjoying the sun.
Lush tropical vegetation and coral reefs distinguish this prime location for ecotourism and snorkeling.
Visitors can also explore nearby communities, learn about local traditions, and experience the warm hospitality of its people.
