The Club Amigo Costa Sur hotel, located on the beautiful María Aguilar Beach on the Ancón Peninsula, has resumed operations after an exhaustive renovation process. This three-star hotel, part of the Cubanacán Group, has reopened its doors with a notable occupancy level and substantial improvements to its infrastructure, according to Radio Sancti Spíritus.

The resort’s 60 rooms have been completely remodeled, highlighting the “tropical module” design and the iconic oceanfront bungalows. Each room has been painted, renovated, and equipped with new furniture, creating a modern and welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Just 12km from the beautiful colonial city of Trinidad, one of the best-preserved cities in all of Cuba, and close to the forests of the Escambray Mountains, visitors can also enjoy the excellent service of the “Imagine” nightclub, inspired by the famous John Lennon song, which offers contemporary design and cutting-edge technology.

Among the most notable updates are the renovation of the buffet restaurant, the installation of lounge areas on the beach adjacent to the natural pool, and improvements to the hotel’s landscaping and lobby.

The reopening of Club Amigo Costa Sur comes amid high tourist demand, with all rooms booked for the opening day and a strong occupancy rate expected for the months of October and November.

Furthermore, the facility has attracted the attention of major international tour operators, including SoliArenas of Germany and Old West Travel of France, as well as Canadian groups and the Amistur agency, reflecting the growing confidence of travelers in this traditional destination.

The return marks an important milestone for Club Amigo Costa Sur, which has been a historic landmark in Trinidad tourism since its opening on July 25, 1975, when it became the first facility to open on the peninsula.
